Canybec Sulayman, PMHNP-BC, MBA
A board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), not a psychiatrist, dual-trained in primary care and psychiatry, with 20 years of clinical experience. He spent 19 of those years in critical care nursing across seven-plus ICU types, including cardiac surgery critical care, and he still holds the critical-care and cardiac-surgery certifications (CCRN, CSC). That's why he checks for medical causes, with labs when the picture calls for them, before settling on a psychiatric diagnosis.
